Call for applications a.y. 2025-26
Applications are open from Juy 29th 2025 (09:00 CET) until February 1st 2026 (11:59 PM CET) and must be submitted via PICA.CINECA.UNISR (code: master2024-24).
Candidates must register on PICA platform and include all the information required to complete the applications, attaching all relevant documents in PDF format (max. 30 mb each).
Admission Requirements
Eligible candidates hold a Degree in Medicine and Surgery with qualification to practice. Specializations and/or residencies Cardiology will be preferred. A professional medical insurance will be request upon enrollment.
The qualifications-based evaluation will consider the criteria stated below (maximum 20 points):
- Academic and professional curriculum (including specialization in Cardiology and related fields): up to 10 points
- Logbook proving > 100 studies on the left sections of the heart: up to 5 points
- Relevant scientific publications: up to 5 points

For the evaluation of qualifications, a minimum score of 10 points is set, below which the candidate may be deemed unsuitable for attending the Master’s program.
If the number of candidates deemed suitable based on the evaluation exceeds the number of available spots (2), an interview will be conducted. In this case, the maximum score assignable for the individual interview will be 10 points.
The maximum score including the interview is 30 points.
A minimum score of 15 points (including the interview) is set, below which the candidate may be deemed unsuitable for attending the Master’s program.
Based on the evaluation and the possible interview, a merit ranking will be published.
Candidates who do not attend the interview will not be included in the ranking
Documents to be uploaded
Documents to be attached to the application for admission:
- Degree in Medicine and Surgery Certificate, along with final grade, legalized translation and thesis title
- Specialization Degree indicating, along with final grade, legalized translation (eventually thesis title)
- Professional Curriculum Vitae
- Logbook as required by the call for application
- Relevant scientific publications (maximum 12)
- Copy of a valid personal identification document (passport for international students)
International candidates are additionally requested to provide:
1. Legalized translation of the Degree Certificate
2. Declaration of Value (to be issued by the Italian Embassy/Consulate where the degree was obtained) or Statement of Comparability.
Next Steps After Submission of the Application:
- Preliminary check of application by the Master’s Office;
- Evaluation of qualifications by the Committee and possible invite to an interview (only if the number of candidates deemed suitable based on the evaluation exceeds the number of available spots);
- Publication of the ranking list and instructions on how to proceed with enrollment, if applicable.
Course Activation
The course will take place with a minimum number of students enrolled.
Minimum number of students required: 1 student.
The maximum number of students allowed is: 2 students.
