Biography
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan on 23 September 1980.
In 1983 he attended a Postgraduate Course in Oro-maxillofacial Surgery at the Center for the correction of dento-maxillofacial deformities, directed by Professor. B.N. Epker in Fort Worth (University of Texas).
From 1984 to 1987 he practiced clinical activity at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Civil Hospital of Brescia, where then became co-responsible assistant from 1987 to 1997.
In 1985 he obtained Specialization Diploma in Maxillofacial Surgery with full marks and honors from the University of Milan.
From 1997 to 2003 was Director of the Nursing Home of Maxillofacial Surgery at the Italian Stomatological Institute in Milan.
From 1993 to 2004 : Adjunct Professor in charge of teaching various supplementary courses at the School of Specialization in Maxillofacial Surgery of the University of Ferrara, in particular the course of "Biomaterials" from 1993 to 1994, of "Surgery of Soft Tissues "from 1995 to 1998 and of" Maxillofacial Surgery IV "from 1998 to 2004.
Head of the Department of Advanced Oral Surgery at the Department of Dentistry (Dir. Prof. E.F Gherlone) of IRCCS San Raffaele in Milan since 2004.
Since 2006 : Adjunct Professor, holder of the teaching of Major Oral Surgery and Pre-implantation, scientific disciplinary sector MED718-General Surgery-competition sector 06 / C1 at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Dental Hygiene Course of the Vita University- Health San Raffaele.
Since 2013: Professor of Odontostomatology Surgery SSD MED28 at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
In 2014 he obtained the national scientific qualification as second-tier professor, competitive sector 06 / F1- Odontostomatological Diseases, Scientific Disciplinary Sector MED / 28 (Odontostomatological Diseases). Call 2012 (DD n. 222/2012).
In 2016 he became Associate Professor in Odontostomatological Diseases, obtaining the Chair of Oral Surgery at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan.
Since 2018: Director of the Specialization School of Oral Surgery at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
In 2019 he has been elected President of SidCo, the Italian Society of Odontostomatological Surgery.
