Brief Biography
After earning her degree in Medicine and Surgery and specializing in Radiology, Professor Palmisano obtained a PhD in Molecular Medicine. She worked at the Complex Operative Unit of Radiology at the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, focusing primarily on advanced imaging with Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. She participated in and coordinated numerous studies aimed at developing new advanced imaging techniques for tissue characterization, early risk biomarkers identification, and prognostic stratification in the cardiovascular, oncological, and transplant fields, both in clinical and preclinical setting, thanks to collaboration with the Preclinical Imaging Facility at IRCCS San Raffaele. She currently coordinates and collaborates on numerous artificial intelligence projects in partnership with the AI-hub Center of Excellence at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. She has published in prestigious international scientific journals such as Radiology, European Radiology, JACC, JACC CVI, Circulation, and The Lancet.
